In this video, I'm going to show you how to request CMS deeplinking in Siteimprove. CMS deeplinking is really helpful when you're going through Siteimprove and trying to fix issues. It allows you to get from Siteimprove to the page you need to edit in your CMS with one click. Before you start, you should log into your Siteimprove account and your website's WordPress admin interface. I have both open in my browser right now. First let's navigate from the Siteimprove landing page to the CMS deeplinking request form. In the left-hand sidebar, which is the main menu, select Integrations and CMS deeplinks. On this page select request CMS deeplinking. There are a total of six form fields. For College of Engineering hosted WordPress sites, the CMS name is WordPress. The current version used is 6.4.3 but this is optional so you can probably leave it blank. Next we have to grab URLs from two pages on our site. Siteimprove wants what they call the live URL, which is the URL visitors use to get to your web pages, as well as the CMS URL, which is the URL for the page when you're editing it in WordPress. I'm now going to switch to the tab with my WordPress site dashboard. If you look at the add a glance box, you'll see that this site is running WordPress 6.4.3. If you're not on a College of Engineering hosted platform, this could be different. Select pages in the left hand sidebar. Hover over a page name any name or any page page except the homepage and select view. Selecting view takes you to the live page. I'm going to highlight the URL, copy it, and then I'm going to switch back over to the Siteimprove tab and paste this into the Example Page live URL field. Now go back to the WordPress tab, select Edit Page and now highlight this URL. Copy it and then we're going to go back to the Siteimprove tab and paste it into the CMS URL field for example page one. Now we have to do the same thing for a second page in our site, so back to the WordPress tab. I'm going to go back to Pages and again choose a page other than the homepage. So let's do presentations here. Select View and then I'm going to highlight the URL this time using a keyboard shortcut Cmd+L since I'm on a Mac. Cmd+C to copy it. And now I'm going to go back to the Siteimprove tab and paste into the live URL field using the keyboard shortcut Cmd+V as in Victor and then going back to the WordPress tab now we have to grab that CMS URL by selecting edit page again highlighting the URL Cmd+L Cmd+C to copy going back to the first tab with my Siteimprove page and I'm going to paste that CMS URL into our final field here. Once you do all that, select confirm and now you wait until Siteimprove support gets back to you. Thanks for watching.
